I got new tyres, service and a rego inspection today. It was not cheap. While I was waiting around in town I went for a walk. There are big groups of shoeless people that hang around in the street. I don't really know what they are doing, but every now and then there is a big flurry of incomprehensible shouting and movement. I noticed it at the info centre in Katherine weeks ago and again the other day out the front of the supermarket. I don't know if it is one group that moves around or several different groups. They remind of those blue faced birds the other day but I didn't see any predators.
When I got my bike back I nearly stacked it straight away trying to beat the lights. I forgot the tyres need some time to scrub in and nearly washed out the front in the main street.
Tomorrow I'm going down to the gorge for a canoe 'tour'. A self guided tour. Aka I'm hiring a canoe. I have to be there at 7:30am. Which means the sun won't be up when I leave here. I was really worried about animals on the road at that time of the morning. That fear has subsided a little now that I've been told that Katherine Gorge has Saltwater Crocodiles.
Wish me luck.
Is barefoot code for Aboriginal?
ReplyDeleteI didn't really notice if they were aboriginal or not. I don't see race.
