I spent yesterday in Rockhampton while I waited to get the bike fixed. Had a little walk around. There is an area on the river that has been done up and is really nice. I was the only person there. It was a weekday but I was surprised there wasn't anyone else.
Last night I watched the State of Origin at the bush camp. There were more Tasmanians than either QLDers or NSWelshmen. I had fun giving the QLDers shit until the second half.
Today it took 2 hours to pack up because I'd pulled everything out. I had a coffee with Robyn and Peter who own the camp and then headed up the coast to Saint Lawrence.
St Lawrence is only about 200km up the highway and didn't take long to get here. There are wetlands here and this weekend is some big wetland festival. People are here setting up. Apparently the Greek gardening bloke with the big bushy beard (Costa someone?) is going to be here. I don't intend on staying for it. It is going to rain, which I guess will make the wetlands wetter
